“Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty” ~ Albert Einstein
Hello! I’m Jessika Gerondale, the creator of Rags+Bones. I have lived in this beautiful state of Oregon my entire life. I grew up playing in the woods, camping at the coast and crafting with my mom. I am a self taught artist who loves trying new mediums and techniques. I try to incorporate recycled/upcycled materials in my work as much as possible. I especially love vintage illustrations from books, sewing patterns and wallpaper. I also enjoy mosaic, embroidery and print making. I love challenging myself to combine different mediums in fun, original ways.
Some words I would use to describe myself are empathetic, introverted, animal lover, and an observer who appreciates details that others often overlook.
My life wouldn’t be complete without my dogs, Huckleberry and BG and my kitty Lewis. They give the best homecomings and are my constant studio companions. I also love dog sitting for friends and family, the more the merrier!
If I was a muppet, I would be Cookie Monster.
