I am Jill of “Jill Gailey Re-creations” I grew up in sunny California near the beach. We moved to Carlton 26 years ago to raise our two children in rural Yamhill. As my kids have flown the coup I’m able to focus a tad more on my art! With a creative twist on found objects, barn treasures and gathered items I create unique art in the garage of my husband (a talented mechanic and fabricator).
My artistry consists of combining techniques of hand stamping and hammering metal with textiles breathing new life into found objects. While creating I let my imagination flow, resulting in uniquely, whimsical, wearable pieces of art.
I have a few barn buddies, a mini pony named Mabel, Ruby the goat, and Tilly the heeler.
I overflow with magic, wonder and creativity. I am a lover of life and people. I’m often referred to as a “people collector”.
