DESCRIPTION
Learn to preserve fresh, local fruit at its peak. Students will learn how to clean and prep fruit and jars, how to use a steam juicer, as well as the science/chemistry behind successful canning. Students will take home jars of the day’s efforts to share with friends and family.

Includes one glass of Abbey Road Farm wine.

INSTRUCTOR
Sarah Kundelius of Wilderness Huntress is a third-generation Oregon farm girl, chef, avid forager, and food preservation expert. She is a graduate of the Western Culinary Institute and served as the assistant pastry chef at the Heathman restaurant in Portland. She is currently the innkeeper and chef at Abbey Road Farm.

Class Fee: $90.00
Material fee: $25.00. Materials include fruit, ingredients, jars

Minimum enrollment: 8 students. Twenty-one years of age or older.
